Fateh Prakash Palace was built by Maharana Fateh Singh and has been named after him. A big Ganesha idol, various frescos and a large fountain can be seen in this huge palace. The palace illustrates the maharaja’s inclination towards art and culture and is famous for the pillars and corridors. Presently, the Fateh Prakash Palace serves as a museum with a large collection of paintings and various sculptures.
Housing a humble collection of coins, sculptures, weapons and other artefacts, the Fateh Prakash Palace Museum is housed inside the palace built by Rana Fateh Singh in Chittorgarh. The place isn't in the best of conditions, and also runs a school in the same complex as the museum. However, it is a good place to look around if you have a guide along with you. Interacting with locals about this museum is a good idea as well, they provide insights which can make small nondescript items on display here look worthwhile and meaningful.
