This is a Shiva temple in Desuri tehsil in Pali district of Rajasthan state in India . It is said that Parshuram, the sixth manifestation of Lord Vishnu, made the cave with his axe and used to worship the lord Shiva at this serene place in the foothills of the Aravalis mountain range. The cave, 3,995 feet above sea-level, has naturally made figures of Lord Ganesh and Lord Shiva and also has nine Kunds which never go dry. The place is 14 km from Sadri town.

Parshuram Temple, also famously known as Parshuram Mahadev Temple or Cave, is an ancient cave where sage Parshuram meditated to seek the blessings of Lord Ram. There are 500 stairs to reach down to the ancient cave.

Priest of this ancient Parshuram temple would tell the lots of stories of the history and also the formations which are called ‘Kamdhenu’. Temple is located at a distance of 9 km from Kumbhalghar Fort on Sadri-Rajpura-Parshuram Cave Rd.

Fairs

Fairs are organised here twice a year. On the Shravan Shukla Sastami and Saptami (6th and 7th) usually falling in August/September a large fair held.

Some social organisations, notably Amar Ganga Charitable Trust, have been arranging food and lodging facilities for the past many years. The trust also organises 'Sangeet Sandhya' (musical nights) during fairs where local artists sing devotional songs. According to an estimate, around 900,000 people visit the holy place every year.

Access

The vehicle from Sadri drops the traveler near a kund (pond). From there it is 2 km walking distance through a hilly narrow path to reach the top, and from the top there are around 400 narrow steps to reach the natural cavern.

By Road: Parshuram Temple is located in the Rajsamand district in the Kumbhalgarh and 98 km from Udaipur. One can easily reach here by bus or taxi.

By Rail: Parshuram Temple is well connected through nearest Falna and Rani Railway station to major cities railway stations like Delhi, Agra, Mumbai, Chennai, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ahmedabad.

By Air: Parshuram Temple can be reach through nearest Udaipur Airport which is well connected with regular domestic flights to Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jodhpur and Jaipur.
